There are many noise-cancelling headphones on the market, and despite the age of the technology itself it's not too pricey either. The PXC 350 fit comfortably around the ear which helps reduce the background noise without actually enabling the NoiseGard™. Within the headphone itself is Sennheisers patented Duofol diaphragms which basically prevent all unwanted "partial oscillation" which to you and me is basically the headphone itself making a repeated noise.

Ok, so when the PXC 350 arrived, i was impressed to say the least. I was spolit with a few samll luxuries; a nice case to which i could fold the headphones in for LAN or travel purposes, two additional audio jacks, one for stereo use and the other for in-flight use so i dont have to pay the 3.50 for crappy headphones (this i thought was very nice). Finally theire were two AAA batteries included for the Noise Guard technology.

Naturally the first thing we do is plug in the headphones and stick on iTunes with the baseyest track we can find. I was pleasantly reassured to know the sound quality was so natural and precise. Next i decided to test this NoiseGuard technology. There's a switch on the left headphone to activate it. When activated the sound is very similar to being in accent or decent in a flight, your ears dont really pop but u cant hear any ambient noise what-so-ever. You can still hear voices, clicks and clangs, but ambient noises such as humming pc's planes from outside etc are all gone. The headphones do however feel some what like the base has been turned down a little and treble up. The only bad point i've come across so far.

I was also pleasantly suprised in game. This headset does feel very natural to wear and listen through. The noise clarification from the head set is so clear. I've been playing Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2 and Counter-Strike Source all day. Grenades hitting walls and the floor is so pricese, foot steps at distance, and around in game ambient noise are extremely clear. Prior to the PXC 350 i was using the Steelseries Siberia V2. I loved the Sibera V1 as it was my first real gaming / luxury headset. However in game, if u want to hear everything then the PXC 350 is a no brainer. The sound is fun and professional, you hear alot and it sounds good.
